New features

Integration Studio SDK connectors

Enhancements

API gateway

  • Default SSL encryption for a private API gateway test API
The API created by the command line self-test utility is now created with the SSL only option enabled, meaning access to the private API gateway URL will be tested over HTTPS only. To allow access over HTTP, you can disable the SSL only option in the API configuration after the test API is created.

EDI

  • PII masking
Personally identifiable information (PII) is now masked with asterisks within EDI data on the Transactions and Archives pages. A Harmony organization administrator can use the new Enable PII icon along the top of the table and in a specific document’s Raw view to re-enter their password to reveal masked data for 15 minutes.

Integration Studio

  • Ability to restore a project to the latest deployed version
Within the project history, a project design can now be restored to the latest deployed version regardless of when the project was last deployed. Previously, projects older than the project history retention period (maximum 180 days) could not be restored.

  • Operation log screen user experience improvements
The Integration Studio operation log screen has been enhanced to match the user experience provided by the Management Console Runtime Operations page, including its more intuitive search experience.

  • Connector UI improvements to the data schema generation step
During configuration of a connector activity, the data schemas generated by the connector now expand in height when a user resizes the window. In connectors that support manual editing of data schemas, the last-edited date is now shown.

Integration Studio SDK connectors

  • Epicor Kinetic activity editable schemas
The schemas generated for Epicor Kinetic Get, Post, Update, Delete, Get BAQ, and Put BAQ activities can now be edited to change the request and response structures as needed.

  • HTTP v2 connector ability to define successful status codes
The HTTP v2 connector's Optional settings of each activity, you can now define the HTTP status codes that determine if the operation is treated as a successful operation. The success status codes can be defined by class or specified manually.

  • HubSpot connector support for the Associations object
When configuring a HubSpot Search, Create, or Delete activity, you can now select the Associations object.

  • Slack connector support for 3-legged OAuth
A Slack connection’s new Authentication mechanism menu provides the option to select either Token-based Auth (default existing) or Authorization Code Grant (newly supported). When Authorization Code Grant is selected, you click Log in with Slack to authenticate with Slack using either the Jitterbit-provided cloud application or a registered private application in a separate browser tab. Agent version 10.83 / 11.21 or later is required.

  • SMB connector support for SMB v3 and timeout settings
An SMB connection has a new SMB protocol version field to select either version 2.1 (default existing) or versions 3.0, 3.0.2, or 3.1.1 (all newly supported). Two additional fields in its Optional settings allow you to set the amount of time before a request timeout or socket timeout occurs.

  • Snowflake connector ability to escape strings
A Snowflake connection has a new Escape special characters checkbox in its Optional settings. When enabled, the single quote character (') is automatically escaped in the request payload of an Insert or Invoke Stored Procedure activity.

  • Workday connector API version support through 43.0
A Workday connection now has Workday Web Services (WWS) API versions v42.1, v42.2, and v43.0 available to select in its Version menu. For new connections, v43.0 is selected by default.

Management Console

Fixes

Agent

  • Automatic resolution of stuck operations
Operations no longer get stuck in a state where they are not actively being processed by an agent but remain reporting a Received, Pending, Running, or Cancel Requested status indefinitely. This issue occurred only with synchronous child operations.

  • Base64Decode now works as expected with or without padding characters
The Base64Decode function no longer returns a truncated or wrong value when the base64-encoded string does not end with = or ==.

  • Schedules now use the expected time in organizations using the override time zone setting
When an organization has the Override schedule agent time zone setting enabled, schedules now trigger operations at the expected time. Previously, the setting was being ignored and schedules were using the agent time zone regardless of the time zone configured in the override setting.

  • SQL ODBC null values are now handled as expected
When configured with a SQL ODBC driver, an Integration Studio Database Query activity and Design Studio Database source now output a blank field if the value returned by a SELECT query is null. Previously, null values were being skipped and not acknowledged in the output.

API Manager

  • API log details now shown for non-default cloud API gateway domains
On the API Logs page, when using a non-default cloud API gateway domain, API log details are now displayed as expected after clicking the expand icon on a log entry.

Design Studio

  • Jitterbit logo for macOS updated
The macOS version of Design Studio has an update to correct the Jitterbit logo. There are no other changes to the Design Studio code in this release.

Integration Studio

  • Project variable added in an expanded transformation script is now shown as used
After adding a previously unused project variable in an expanded transformation script (using the expand icon), the project variable is now correctly shown as used in the project pane’s Components tab.

  • Salesforce Query mapping item reference is now created as expected
When mapping from a [1+] cardinality array node in the response of Salesforce Query activity to a single-record target field, the first record instance in the array (#1.) is now mapped to the single field as expected and a confirmation message is now shown. Previously, the item reference was not being assigned.

  • Database target mappings are now valid without mapping required fields
When mapping to a Database activity, required fields (with a cardinality of [1] or [1+]) now show a warning instead of an error and indicate This field may need to be mapped. This makes it possible to deploy the project even when some required fields are not mapped.

  • Database Query activity schema UI issue fixed
The schemas displayed in the final configuration step of a Database Query activity can no longer overlap the UI buttons, making them unusable.

Integration Studio SDK connectors

  • HTTP v2 connector request payload limit increased
When using the HTTP v2 connector and providing a very large amount of data in the request payload for a particular JSON node, the transformation no longer fails with an error indicating String value length ... exceeds the maximum allowed.

  • Salesforce Events Publish activity access token is now renewed
A Salesforce Events Publish activity now automatically regenerates the session ID and requests a new access token when the session expires. Previously, the access token was renewed every time an event was published. This resolves an EOFException error after restarting agents.

Notices

Agent and API gateway

  • End of life for agent 10.78 / 11.16 and API gateway 10.78
As of October 26, 2024, these product versions have reached end of life and are no longer supported:

    • Private agent versions 10.78 and 11.16

    • Private API gateway version 10.78

We recommend that all users of any of these versions upgrade to the latest version as soon as practicable.

Agent

  • Private agent versions 10.x are no longer updated
Private agent version 10.87 was the last 10.x agent version distributed by Jitterbit and is intended to be the final supported 10.x agent version.

Since Harmony release 10.63 / 11.1, both a 10.x and 11.x private agent version had been distributed with these differences:

    • 11.x versions: In 11.1 and later versions, the PostgreSQL database bundled with the private agent is now version 14.5-1.

    • 10.x versions: Supported 10.x versions are packaged with the existing 9.6.24-1 PostgreSQL. The distributed 10.x versions will continue to be supported in accordance with Jitterbit’s end-of-life policy.

    Important

To continue to receive private agent updates, including new features, enhancements, security patches, and fixes, upgrading to an 11.x private agent is required.

Follow the instructions to upgrade from 10.x to 11.x agents:

NetSuite connector, Integration Studio, and Design Studio

  • HMAC-SHA1 deprecation and removal from the Integration Studio and Design Studio UI
NetSuite is deprecating HMAC-SHA1 as a valid signature algorithm as previously announced (see NetSuite HMAC-SHA1 deprecation). To support these changes, Jitterbit intends to remove the HMAC-SHA1 signature algorithm from the Integration Studio and Design Studio UI in an upcoming Harmony release.

    Warning

As the HMAC-SHA1 signature algorithm will no longer be supported by NetSuite or the Jitterbit Harmony NetSuite connectors, you should change any Jitterbit Harmony projects that are presently using HMAC-SHA1 as the signature algorithm to use HMAC-SHA256 as soon as possible to avoid issues with those integrations.
