System requirements for Jitterbit Design Studio

Introduction

These are the system requirements for the Jitterbit Design Studio.

For Jitterbit private agent system requirements and installation, see:

Note

If your Design Studio installation is behind a firewall within your network, you must allowlist necessary Jitterbit services.

Operating system requirements

These are the supported operating systems for Design Studio:

Operating system Version Supported Design Studio versions
Microsoft Windows 10 and 11 Currently supported versions
Server 2019, 2022, and 2025 Currently supported versions
Apple macOS 13 (Ventura) and 14 (Sonoma) Currently supported versions
15 (Sequoia) 11.41 or later

Recommendation

When using macOS, use the native colors of your browser and operating system. Attempting to use dark mode or a dark color theme can cause issues.

Known issue

When running Design Studio on macOS 15 (Sequoia), the operating system will report that it cannot check the application for malicious software.

If the application was downloaded from the Harmony portal Downloads page, the warning can be ignored and the application will run as expected.

Software requirements

There are no particular software requirements. Jitterbit automatically installs or includes the required Java Runtime Environment specifically for use with Design Studio such that it does not conflict with other Java installations that may already be installed.

The version of Java shipped with Jitterbit Design Studio is the AdoptOpenJDK JRE as of version 9.8 for Windows and as of version 10.2 for macOS. This JRE is licensed as described at the OpenJDK website.

Note

When using a Mac operating system that uses Apple silicon, Rosetta is required for Design Studio. If Rosetta is not installed, you are automatically asked to install it when opening Design Studio.

Hardware requirements

Jitterbit recommends these hardware and virtual machine specifications for workstations used with Jitterbit Design Studio at a minimum:

  • Dual-core processor

  • 4 GB RAM

  • 10 GB available hard drive space

  • Internet connection with access to a browser to communicate with Harmony

  • Access to outbound port 443 (HTTPS)

  • Either as a direct hardware installation or as installation on a virtual machine from VMWare, VirtualBox, Amazon AWS, or Rackspace that is configured for the specific Windows or macOS versions outlined above
