Jitterbit API Manager
Overview
Jitterbit API Manager (API Manager) is Jitterbit's API management web interface where you can create and publish developer-friendly APIs and perform full API lifecycle management tasks. You can expose any system as a secure, managed, real-time custom API, OData service, or proxy API that can be called and consumed by any other app through Jitterbit's security-enforced API gateways.
To open API Manager (if your license includes it), first ensure you meet the Harmony portal's prerequisites and have the required role permissions and environment access levels. Then log in at https://login.jitterbit.com and click the API Manager tile:
Note
API Manager is subscription-based. To add it to your license, contact your Customer Success Manager.
You can also navigate directly to these API Manager pages from the Harmony portal menu > API Manager:
- APIs: Create and manage APIs.
- Portal Manager: Generate OpenAPI documentation.
- Portal: Test APIs using the generated OpenAI documentation.
- API Logs: Review API logs and access data.
- Analytics: Review API metrics.
- Security Profiles: Configure authentication and access controls for APIs.
- Trusted IP Groups: Define IP address restrictions for enhanced security.
- API Groups: Organize APIs with consistent security policies for external access.
Info
If using private agents, note that Linux private agents can accept a higher API load (more requests per minute) than Windows private agents on identical machines.
API security and gateways
All APIs created in API Manager are protected by Jitterbit's gateway infrastructure. Whether using the managed cloud API gateway or deploying private API gateways in your own environment, these security enforcement points ensure that only authorized consumers can access your APIs. Configure security policies, monitor access patterns, and control API consumption through the API Manager pages listed in the previous section.
Release schedule and release notes
As a Harmony web application, API Manager is automatically updated to the latest version of the application following the Harmony release schedule.
In the Harmony release notes, API Manager is considered part of the Cloud platform and applications category, and individual release notes for the API Manager application are listed under the API Manager heading.
