Jitterbit Harmony release schedule
Overview
This page provides the general release cadence for the components of Jitterbit product releases. This cadence may be adjusted due to special circumstances such as holidays.
Updates for known critical defects will be applied as necessary. Though advance notice will be given if possible, there may be circumstances where a fix is of such urgency that advance notice is not possible.
To receive notice of both planned releases and emergency maintenances, sign up for notifications on Jitterbit's system status site. You can update your notification preferences at https://trust.jitterbit.com.
Release notes
Release notes are documented in the following locations:
Release regions
Release dates are by Harmony region. This is the approximate release schedule by region:
-
APAC: Released first
-
EMEA: Released 1 day after APAC
-
NA: Released 1 to 4 days after EMEA
Harmony release and Sandbox Cloud Agent Group upgrade
The Harmony release and the Sandbox Cloud Agent Group upgrade occur automatically.
This is the approximate schedule for each region:
- A new version of Harmony is released and the Sandbox Cloud Agent Group is upgraded approximately every 15 days.
- The Sandbox Cloud Agent Group is updated to the latest available Jitterbit agent at the time of each Harmony release.
- Upgrades of the Sandbox Cloud Agent Group take up to four hours to complete.
Approximately two weeks in advance of a scheduled release, a maintenance is posted on Jitterbit's system status site with all possible affected Harmony components selected. Note that the actual release may not affect all selected components. See each Harmony release notes page for details of each release.
During a Harmony release, these are the possible affected components selected on Jitterbit's system status site:
- Harmony portal: Harmony web-based interface for accessing Harmony portal web applications:
- Integration Studio: Harmony web application for creating, configuring, deploying, and testing integration projects. Native Integration Studio connectors, as identified in Connectors, are part of the Integration Studio application.
- API Manager: Harmony web application for creating, controlling, and consuming custom APIs, OData services, and proxy APIs.
- EDI: Harmony web application for managing EDI trading partners and the transactions made with them.
- Marketplace: Harmony web application providing access to Integration Studio integration recipes and process templates.
- Management Console: Harmony web application for managing and monitoring your Harmony organization across Harmony.
- Runtime operation logs: Logs generated when an Integration Studio or Design Studio project operation is executed.
- Cloud platform: Harmony cloud infrastructure and services.
- Cloud API gateway: Harmony cloud gateway hosted by Jitterbit that accepts and processes API Manager API calls.
During a Sandbox Cloud Agent Group upgrade, the Sandbox Cloud Agent Group component is selected on Jitterbit's system status site.
As part of the Sandbox Cloud Agent Group update, new Jitterbit-provided Integration Studio Connector SDK-based connectors (appearing under the Integration Studio SDK connectors release notes component category) and updated native Integration Studio connectors (appearing under the Integration Studio release notes component category) become available to use in the Sandbox Cloud Agent Group and the Production Cloud Agent Group at the first date set of the Harmony release and Sandbox Cloud Agent Group upgrade. At this time, updated native Integration Studio connectors also become available to use with private agents. Some native Integration Studio connectors may also have an independent agent version requirement, as indicated for each release note by a designation within the Agents component category.
Whether a Jitterbit-provided connector is Connector SDK-based or a native connector is indicated in the connectors list and in each connector's documentation.
Private API gateway, Design Studio, App Builder, and other installer downloads
Private API gateway, Design Studio, App Builder, Microsoft Dynamics connectors, and SAP event listener installers are updated on an as-needed basis.
Updated installer downloads will be available from the Harmony portal Downloads page at the conclusion of each region's Harmony release and Sandbox Cloud Agent Group upgrade. The App Builder Docker image is available at Docker Hub.
The private agent and private API gateway Docker images, private agent installer downloads, and Data Loader installer downloads are updated on a separate schedule, described later on this page.
Production Cloud Agent Group upgrade
The Production Cloud Agent Group upgrade occurs automatically.
This is the approximate schedule for each region:
- The Production Cloud Agent Group is upgraded to the most recent version approximately 3 to 8 days after the conclusion of each region's Harmony release and Sandbox Cloud Agent Group upgrade.
- Upgrades of the Production Cloud Agent Group take up to six hours to complete.
Approximately two weeks in advance of a scheduled release, a maintenance is posted on Jitterbit's system status site with the Production Cloud Agent Group component selected.
As part of the Production Cloud Agent Group update, updated Jitterbit-provided Integration Studio Connector SDK-based connectors, as identified in connectors, become available to use in the Production Cloud Agent Group and private agents.
Whether a Jitterbit-provided connector is Connector SDK-based is indicated in the connectors list and in each connector's documentation.
Integration Studio connector updates
New Jitterbit-provided Integration Studio Connector SDK-based connectors (appearing under the Integration Studio SDK connectors release notes component category) and updated native Integration Studio connectors (appearing under the Integration Studio release notes component category) are released to the Sandbox Cloud Agent Group and the Production Cloud Agent Group at the first date set of the Harmony release and Sandbox Cloud Agent Group upgrade.
At this time, updated native Integration Studio connectors also become available to use with private agents. Some native Integration Studio connectors may also have an independent agent version requirement, as indicated for each release note by a designation within the Agents component category.
Whether a Jitterbit-provided connector is native or Connector SDK-based is indicated in the connectors list and in each connector's documentation.
Updated Jitterbit-provided Connector SDK-based connectors are updated on the cadence of the Cloud Agent Group upgrades:
-
Sandbox Cloud Agent Group: Updated connectors are released to Sandbox Cloud Agent Group environments at the time of the Sandbox Cloud Agent Group update.
-
Production Cloud Agent Group and private agents: Updated connectors are released to environments using the Production Cloud Agent Group and private agents at the time of the Production Cloud Agent Group update.
The following table summarizes the connector deployment cadence. The first date set of a release corresponds with the Sandbox Cloud Agent Group upgrade and Harmony cloud platform and applications, while the second date set of a release corresponds with the Production Cloud Agent Group upgrade and private agent installer availability.
Connector type | First date set of a release | Second date set of a release |
---|---|---|
SDK (new) | Released to Sandbox Cloud Agent Groups and Production Cloud Agent Groups | Released to private agents |
SDK (updated) | Released to Sandbox Cloud Agent Groups | Released to Production Cloud Agent Groups and private agents |
Private agent-only SDK (new and updated) | N/A | Released to private agents |
Native (updated) | Released to Sandbox Cloud Agent Groups, Production Cloud Agent Groups, and private agents | N/A |
Private agent installer downloads
Updated Windows and Linux private agent installers are available from the Harmony portal Downloads page at the conclusion of each region's Production Cloud Agent Group release.
Data Loader installer downloads
Data Loader is updated periodically in order to bring it in sync with the latest Harmony code base.
If applicable, an updated installer download for Data Loader will be available from the Harmony portal Downloads page at the conclusion of each region's Harmony release and Sandbox Cloud Agent Group upgrade.
Private agent and private API gateway Docker images
The Docker private agent and private API gateway Docker images will be available at Docker Hub at the conclusion of the NA region Production Cloud Agent Group release.
