Summer 2026 Harmony release

Introduction

This page provides a summary of new features, enhancements, and changes in summer 2026.

Various usability enhancements and bug fixes are not included in this summary. For the full release notes and release dates by component and region, see each release page.

To access the latest version of web applications, log in to the Harmony portal. Locally installed applications are downloadable through the Harmony portal Downloads page. The Docker private agent, private API gateway, and App Builder images are available at Docker Hub.

Harmony 12.9

The Harmony 12.9 release dates are August 11-20, 2026. For full release notes and dates, see the Harmony 12.9 and App Builder 4.65 release notes.

Agent

  • Internal database connection pooling now defaults to on for Linux private agents, matching the existing default on Windows private agents

  • New SHA512 cryptographic function for Studio and Design Studio

  • Platform-wide multibyte support for Portuguese, German, and Russian, now certified for the Harmony platform

  • Customization preservation and conflict resolution when regenerating docs on the Portal Manager page

  • Ask AI button on the Analytics page to query and interpret API performance metrics using the APIM AI Assistant

Harmony 12.8

Agent

  • New Jitterbit variable jitterbit.target.xml.preserve.namespace.prefix to preserve source XML namespace prefixes in transformation output

  • Private agent installer validation enhancements, including a system requirements prompt and PostgreSQL password character validation during installation

  • PostgreSQL password encryption now defaults to MD5 for Linux private agents, reverting the SCRAM-SHA-256 default introduced in 12.6; upgrading a Linux agent that uses SCRAM-SHA-256 prompts to reset to MD5 or keep SCRAM-SHA-256

  • Microsoft SQL Server JDBC driver update now requires an encrypted, certificate-validated connection by default

AI agents

API Manager

  • Multi-client credential support for 2-legged OAuth 2.0 security profiles, letting multiple consumers authenticate to the same API with their own credentials

  • APIs filter on the Analytics page now displays and filters by API name only, not name and version

App Builder

  • Markdown Renderer widget for rendering Markdown-formatted text as sanitized HTML on a page

  • Allowed URLs list to control which links are clickable in the AI Assistant, Conversational AI, and Markdown Renderer widget

  • App Builder AI Assistant theme management and token usage chart on the AI Dashboard

  • Conversation Dashboard for reviewing Conversational AI conversations and manual agent sort order in the chat interface's Agents list

Connectors

  • Anthropic Claude (Beta) connector now available to all organizations for sending prompts to and registering tools with Claude models

  • Amazon Bedrock connector short-term memory across operations and knowledge base retrieval from Amazon S3 Vectors or Amazon Redshift

  • OpenAI connector support for the Responses API with Prompt V2, Register Tools V2, and Register MCP Server Tools activities

  • ServiceNow v2 (Beta) connector for querying, creating, updating, or deleting ServiceNow records

  • Action required: Google Gemini Prompt activity's Use RAG Corpus (Vertex AI) setting relocated; existing configurations must be reconfigured

EDI

  • EDI AI Assistant support for filtering transactions by a specific document type code

  • Build with AI and Search with AI menu options on the Trading Partners, Manage workflows, Communication settings, and Transactions pages

  • Redesigned Messaging page with severity level filtering, category and subcategory filtering, and a columns drawer

Harmony portal

Management Console

  • New SSO Status Changed alert type and audit logging entry when single sign-on is enabled or disabled

  • Runtime page status search key now accepts HTTP status codes for API log entries

  • Project access and API access tabs now require environment role access to view a project or API

Studio

  • Compact, collapsed validation indicator for transformation field scripts

  • QBR Deck Agent for automating quarterly business review (QBR) deck creation from Salesforce, NetSuite, and product usage data

  • Security RFI Agent for automating end-to-end processing of security Request for Information (RFI) questionnaires into submission-ready Word and Excel documents

API Manager

App Builder

  • Conversational AI is now generally available, embedding an AI-powered chat interface into applications with group-level access controls

  • Embed the Conversational AI chat on an external page using the <jitterbit-chat> web component, with anonymous or JWT SSO authentication

  • Google Cloud Storage connector for connecting App Builder applications to Google Cloud Storage buckets

  • Tags control for selecting multiple values stored as a comma-delimited list in a single field

  • Two-tier document type filter on the Transactions page that groups document types and their subtypes

  • EDI AI Assistant support for searching non-compliant documents

Management Console

  • Additional password policy settings (Require special character(s) in password and Require Two-factor authentication) editable in SSO-enabled organizations

Studio and Agent

Studio

  • Diff view for selective transfer and import to preview conflicting component changes side by side

  • AI-generated line completion in the Jitterbit script editor, enabled via an organization policy on the Studio tab of the Management Console Organizations page

  • Configurable consecutive CPU check threshold for private agent capability via the new CpuConsecutiveFailureThreshold setting in the [AgentCapability] section of jitterbit.conf

  • PostgreSQL encryption defaults to SCRAM-SHA-256 for fresh Linux private agent installs
