New features

API Manager

  • Jitterbit AI Bot (Beta) for API Manager
Create and publish assets in API Manager by interacting with an AI chatbot using natural language. If enabled for your organization, you can access the Jitterbit AI Bot (Beta) for API Manager using the AI icon in the Harmony portal header on any API Manager page. For access to this beta feature, contact the Jitterbit Product Team.

Harmony portal

  • AskJB AI general availability
Jitterbit's generative AI chatbot, now called AskJB AI, is generally available and is no longer a beta version. AskJB AI helps you get answers about using Jitterbit's products by generating answers sourced from the Jitterbit Documentation site. Access it from either of these locations:

    • On the Harmony portal Home page using the AI icon in the top right.

    • On the Jitterbit Documentation site using the AskJB AI button in the top right.

Enhancements

Agent

Agent and API gateway

  • Amazon Linux 2023 support
The Amazon Linux 2023 operating system is now supported for private agents and private API gateways 11.39 and later. Also beginning with this release, several operating systems are no longer supported, as described under Notices below.

API Manager

  • API Manager APIs page redesign
The API Manager landing page, now named APIs, has been redesigned with an updated look and feel and improved user experience.

Integration Studio

  • Database target activity setting to allow truncation
Database Insert, Update, and Upsert activities have a new checkbox in step 1 of their configuration: Allow truncation of character fields to avoid field length errors. For activities created prior to this release, this setting is enabled by default to retain existing behavior. For new activities created after this release, this setting is disabled by default.

  • Salesforce WHERE clause validation and LIMIT support
Salesforce, Salesforce Service Cloud, and ServiceMax Query and Bulk Query activities now validate the WHERE clause and return an error if the syntax is malformed. In addition, LIMIT is now supported within the WHERE clause.

Integration Studio SDK connectors

  • Google BigQuery Insert Record activity support for batch data loads
A Google BigQuery Insert Record activity has a new Insert strategy menu on configuration step 1 with the option to select either Insert one record per INSERT statement (default existing) or Insert all records in a single INSERT statement (newly supported).

  • Microsoft SharePoint 365 connector support for document libraries and list items
Microsoft SharePoint 365 Query, Update, Create, and Delete activities have the following additional objects that can be selected in step 1 of their configuration: File, Folder, FontPackage, ListItem.

  • SAP Receive IDoc activity general availability
The SAP Receive IDoc activity is now generally available and is no longer a beta version. This activity receives an outbound Intermediate Document (IDoc) from SAP. Prerequisites for this activity include a private agent version 11.37 or later that has been enabled for event listening, and required configuration in the SAP system.

Management Console

  • Runtime Operations page option to disable auto-refresh
The page setting Auto Refresh menu for the Runtime Operations page now has a selection to Never auto-refresh the page and is selected by default.

Fixes

Agent

  • CVTDate function no longer outputs data with empty input
When the CVTDate function is used with an empty input date object or string, an erroneous output date string can no longer be returned by the function.

  • RegExMatch function now works for single-number matches
The RegExMatch function now correctly validates matches of single-digit numeric strings. For example, RegExMatch("5", "(^[0-9]+$)") now returns 1 instead of 0.

  • FTP variable paths with a default value now work
When an Integration Studio FTP activity or Design Studio FTP site's Path field is configured with a default value for a global variable, the default value is now substituted as expected. Previously, it was treated as if no default value was set.

Design Studio

  • Database target activity truncation disablement is now retained
Disabling the Design Studio Database target setting Allow truncation of character fields to avoid field length errors is now retained after closing the configuration.

Integration Studio

  • XML-to-XML transformations no longer generate blank records
A transformation with XML source and target schemas can no longer incorrectly generate additional blank records during processing.

Notices

API gateway

  • Update to supported operating systems
The following operating systems are no longer supported with 11.39 and later private API gateways. These versions may still work but are no longer tested by Jitterbit:

    • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8

    • Ubuntu 20.04 LTS (Focal Fossa)

See the currently supported private API gateway operating systems.

Agent

  • Update to supported operating systems
The following operating systems are no longer supported with 11.39 and later private agents. These versions may still work but are no longer tested by Jitterbit:

    • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8

    • Ubuntu 20.04 LTS (Focal Fossa)

    • Debian 11 (Bullseye)

See the currently supported private agent operating systems.

  • End of life for private agent versions 10.83 / 11.21
As of February 8, 2025, private agent versions 10.83 and 11.21 have reached end of life and are no longer supported. We recommend that all users of these versions upgrade to the latest version as soon as practicable.

  • Private agent versions 10.x are no longer updated
Private agent version 10.87 was the last 10.x agent version distributed by Jitterbit and is intended to be the final supported 10.x agent version.

Since Harmony release 10.63 / 11.1, both a 10.x and 11.x private agent version had been distributed with these differences:

    • 11.x versions: In 11.1 and later versions, the PostgreSQL database bundled with the private agent is now version 14.5-1.

    • 10.x versions: Supported 10.x versions are packaged with the existing 9.6.24-1 PostgreSQL. The distributed 10.x versions will continue to be supported in accordance with Jitterbit's end-of-life policy.

    Important

To continue to receive private agent updates, including new features, enhancements, security patches, and fixes, upgrading to an 11.x private agent is required.

Follow the instructions to upgrade from 10.x to 11.x agents:

NetSuite connector, Integration Studio, and Design Studio

  • HMAC-SHA1 deprecation and removal from the Integration Studio and Design Studio UI
NetSuite is deprecating HMAC-SHA1 as a valid signature algorithm as previously announced (see NetSuite HMAC-SHA1 deprecation). To support these changes, Jitterbit intends to remove the HMAC-SHA1 signature algorithm from the Integration Studio and Design Studio UI in an upcoming Harmony release.

    Warning

As the HMAC-SHA1 signature algorithm will no longer be supported by NetSuite or the Jitterbit Harmony NetSuite connectors, you should change any Jitterbit Harmony projects that are presently using HMAC-SHA1 as the signature algorithm to use HMAC-SHA256 as soon as possible to avoid issues with those integrations.
