Sources and targets in Jitterbit Design Studio
Sources

- Global variable source

- Temporary Storage
Targets
A target defines the properties of a system that Jitterbit needs to connect to and post data to. The system properties vary depending on the type of target you choose. Jitterbit supports these target types:
- Database target
- Email target
- File Share (SMB) target
- FTP site target
- Global variable target
- HTTP target
- LDAP target
- Local file target
- Salesforce Wave Analytics (Einstein Analytics) cloud dataset
- Temporary Storage target
Compressed sources and targets
File compression functionality is available for Jitterbit File Share, FTP Site, Local File, and Temporary Storage source and target files.
Note
File compression has been implemented as of Harmony version 8.9. If you are using a version 8.9 or later private agent or a Jitterbit cloud agent group, use file compression as described for the particular source or target; do not use either the Zip Archive or Unzip plug-ins. (For private agents earlier than version 8.9, you can use the Zip Archive and Unzip plug-ins for compression and decompression.)
