Get a NetSuite application ID
A NetSuite Application ID may be required for your NetSuite connector endpoint depending on your authentication settings. This page describes how to generate a new Application ID, or how to locate an existing Application ID that has previously been generated.
ERROR MESSAGE: The following error message will display in Studio if a required Application ID is missing from endpoint credentials:
NetSuite requires use of an Application ID. Please login to the NetSuite web site and generate one. Then provide that in the NetSuite endpoint in Jitterbit. Do you want to save the new endpoint anyway?
More information is available within NetSuite documentation at Integration Record Overview - Application IDs.
Generate a new NetSuite application ID
If you are new to Jitterbit or otherwise need to generate a new NetSuite Application ID for Jitterbit, you can create a new Application ID as follows:
- Log in to NetSuite.
- Go to Setup > Integration > Manage Integrations > New.
- On the resulting page, enter a Name for the application that will be integrating with NetSuite (for example, "Jitterbit").
- Under Authentication, make sure the box for Token-Based Authentication is unchecked and only the box for User Credentials is checked. Then click Save.
- On the resulting page, the Application ID will be generated for the application.
- Copy the Application ID and paste it into the Application ID field for the NetSuite endpoint in Jitterbit.
Find an existing NetSuite application ID
If you or other users on your NetSuite account have already generated a NetSuite Application ID for Jitterbit in the past, you can locate it as follows:
- Log in to NetSuite.
- Go to Setup > Integration > Manage Integrations.
- The resulting page will display a list of all applications and IDs.
